As Senior Designer, men’s sportswear collection, Canali USA during the economically turbulent time of Nov. 2007 – Nov. 2009, Simone designed and developed a new casual line, tailored to the preferences of the American and Canadian market.

The collection consisted of sport shirts, trousers, jeans, fabric and leather jackets, knitwear and sweaters, furthering the image of Canali’s excellent workmanship and high standards in clothing. Exclusively Made in Italy, this luxurious new line completed Canali’s Collection and was very well received by their loyal North American customers.

for Ermenegildo Zegna

As Head Designer of Sportswear from 1993 to the end of 2006, Simone designed the American luxury sportswear line in all categories, from the initial concept to the final product. The collection provided sport shirts, knits and sweaters, jackets in cloth and leather, as well as trousers and denim.

Simone‘s designs enabled Zegna to grow their North American business from $0 to $40 million in annual wholesale sales. She built relationships of trust with top retailers in the U.S. and Canada. Sales increased through American Pacchetti in Ermengildo Zegna stores worldwide.

Simone developed Made-to-Measure Sportswear items for Zegna stores and Neiman Marcus. Established a program including shirts, jackets and jeans for Big and Tall sportswear customers. Zegna’s American sportswear collection became one of the most important casual menswear brands for North American retailers, representing the ethos of Ermenegildo Zegna for luxury, comfort and incredible fabrics.
